Job summary

Niagara Bottling is seeking a Sanitation Tech to ensure the sanitation and cleanliness of our bottling facility, safeguarding food safety and beverage quality. The role conducts sanitation procedures, records, and inspections, while supporting QA and production teams to prevent defects.

The ideal candidate has beverage sanitation experience, is able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, and demonstrates reliability and teamwork. Niagara offers competitive compensation and benefits for Team Members.

Qualifications

  • 2 Years – Experience in cleaning/sanitation for a beverage or bottled water manufacturer.
  • 2 Years – Experience in Position.
  • 0 Years – Experience managing people/projects.
  • Experience may include a combination of work experience and education.
  • 4 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • 4 Years – Experience working in Position.
  • 2 Years – Experience managing people/projects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitation of the production line(s) to maintain safety, quality and throughput.
  • Accurately completes applicable sanitation, quality and production reports and inspects process and product.
  • Performs cleaning and sanitation procedures, policies and records for the production facility.
  • Assist in troubleshooting sanitation, food safety and quality issues.
  • Provide environmental oversight to sanitation processes and inform QA of wastewater or discharge issues.
  • Adheres to all safety programs, GMP and Food Safety Standards.
  • Maintains general housekeeping in production and other areas as assigned.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required. Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or as production demand dictates.

Sanitation Tech

The Sanitation Operator is responsible for execution of the bottling facility sanitation procedures and standards. The primary focus of the Sanitation Operator is to insure the sanitation systems protect food safety and quality of our beverages. The Sanitation Operator position reports into the Sanitation Lead for the bottling facility.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for daily activities for the cleaning and sanitation of the production line(s), ensuring product adheres to Niagara’s standard of safety, quality, and throughput.
  • Accurately completes applicable sanitation, quality and production reports. Physical and visual inspection of process and product is required to prevent non-conforming goods. Correctly reports all sanitation and quality defects to the appropriate team members and shift leadership.
  • The Sanitation Operator preforms the cleaning and sanitation procedures, policies and records for our production facility.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving sanitation, food safety and quality issues.
  • Provide an environmental oversight to the sanitation processes at the bottling facility. Inform the QA Manager of any potential wastewater or discharge issues.
  • Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
  • Abides by Niagara’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards at all times.
  • Demonstrates the aptitude and skill to work in all assigned areas of cleaning/sanitation; troubleshoots minor cleaning/sanitation issues.
  • Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional areas assigned by plant leadership.
