Job summary

Niagara Bottling is seeking a Sanitation Operator to execute sanitation procedures on our bottling lines, ensuring food safety and quality of our beverages. The role reports to the Sanitation Lead and involves maintaining GMP and safety standards on a 12-hour day/night rotating schedule.

The position requires cleaning and sanitation work, reporting, and problem-solving to prevent non-conforming products, while supporting environmental and safety initiatives across the facility.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitation of production lines to meet safety, quality, and throughput standards.
• Complete sanitation, quality and production reports; visually inspect process and product to prevent non-conformances.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation procedures, policies and records for the facility.
• Assist in troubleshooting sanitation, food safety and quality issues.
• Monitor environmental aspects of sanitation and inform QA Manager of wastewater or discharge concerns.
• Adhere to safety, GMP and food safety standards at all times.

Sanitation Tech

The Sanitation Operator is responsible for execution of the bottling facility sanitation procedures and standards. The primary focus of the Sanitation Operator is to insure the sanitation systems protect food safety and quality of our beverages. The Sanitation Operator position reports into the Sanitation Lead for the bottling facility.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for daily activities for the cleaning and sanitation of the production line(s), ensuring product adheres to Niagara’s standard of safety, quality, and throughput.
• Accurately completes applicable sanitation, quality and production reports. Physical and visual inspection of process and product is required to prevent non-conforming goods. Correctly reports all sanitation and quality defects to the appropriate team members and shift leadership.
• The Sanitation Operator preforms the cleaning and sanitation procedures, policies and records for our production facility.
• Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving sanitation, food safety and quality issues.
• Provide an environmental oversight to the sanitation processes at the bottling facility. Inform the QA Manager of any potential wastewater or discharge issues.
• Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
• Abides by Niagara’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards at all times.
• Demonstrates the aptitude and skill to work in all assigned areas of cleaning/sanitation; troubleshoots minor cleaning/sanitation issues.
• Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional areas assigned by plant leadership.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule or schedule as dictated by production demand.
