How you will make contributions that matter...

The Sanitation Supervisor directly supervises plant sanitation programs and activities to ensure the highest quality and food safety standards.

• Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards.
• Supervises and instructs production team members in sanitary and pest-control procedures.
• Supervises and leads cleaning of equipment and work areas as defined by the COP/CIP/SIP schedules.
• Implements and revises all plant master sanitation schedules in accordance with State, Federal Regulations, and Company policies.
• Performs inspections of plant premises for unsanitary practices and conditions, reporting variances and corrective actions.
• Monitors HACCP as outlined in the IDFA product safety system, ensuring sanitation activities regarding HACCP are performed and documented.
• Ensures pest control effectiveness and compliance with all internal and external requirements.
• Develops reports on plant and equipment inspections, areas of concern, and corrective actions to resolve deficiencies.
• Coordinates sanitation schedules with production to ensure timely and effective clean-up activities.
• Audits and maintains sanitation and pest control records, following record-keeping guidelines.
• Supports internal and external audits related to sanitation.
• Develops and implements sanitation-related Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitors GMP compliance.
• Participates in the Plant HACCP team, ensuring sanitation issues are compliant.
• Manages Environmental Monitoring Program, ensuring scheduled swabs are completed, documented, and corrected if necessary.
• Monitors Drain Cleaning Program (pathogen location program).
• Communicates with chemical suppliers regarding proper chemicals and usage.
• Supports Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) programs and activities.
• Trains employees on quality and food safety standards and processes.
• Performs managerial responsibilities including planning, organizing, evaluating, and delegating.
• Leads, trains, mentors, coaches, investigates, and implements corrective actions.
• Adheres to Saputo's code of ethics and values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Dairy Science, or related field preferred, or at least 2 years of high-level plant-based laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Experience in food quality and safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to follow sanitation and quality policies, report deficiencies, and follow through.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to organizational changes and lead through change.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and team management skills.
• Ability to define problems, analyze data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Understanding of cost containment and budgeting principles.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Salary Range: $64,625 to $80,780

Salary offers vary based on experience, education, skills, and training.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 10 PM - 7 AM

Physical Demands and Working Environment:

• Exposure to various temperatures, moving machinery, and noise levels exceeding 85dB.
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds independently, 50 pounds with assistance.
• Work in office and production environments.
• Visual requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
