Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor for West Debone on the 3rd shift in Texas. You will oversee sanitation activities, train and schedule a team, and ensure compliance with food safety audits and safety regulations. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1+ years supervisory experience with leadership of 20+ employees preferred; poultry/food/manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Skills: strong communication, independent decision making, basic computer knowledge, strong organizational and detail orientation, ability to manage multiple priorities, and MS Word/Excel proficiency.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct all sanitation activities to ensure facility, equipment, and tools are cleaned per standards.
  • Lead, train, and schedule sanitation team members for proper cleaning procedures and safe work practices.
  • Conduct pre-op and post-op inspections to verify sanitation effectiveness and document compliance.
  • Monitor chemical usage, cleaning methods, and equipment performance with proper handling.
  • Respond promptly to sanitation issues during/after cleaning shifts to maintain readiness for production.
  • Maintain accurate sanitation records including checklists, logs, actions, and audits.
  • Ensure safety regulations compliance including PPE, lockout/tagout, and chemical handling.
  • Take on additional responsibilities to support Operations Team.

Sanitation Supervisor - West Debone 3rd shift

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct all sanitation activities to ensure the facility, equipment, and tools are cleaned and sanitized according to company, USDA, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead, train, and schedule sanitation team members, ensuring proper execution of cleaning procedures and safe work practices.
  • Conduct pre-op and post-op inspections to verify sanitation effectiveness and document compliance for food safety audits.
  • Monitor chemical usage, cleaning methods, and equipment performance, ensuring appropriate concentrations, handling, and maintenance.
  • Respond promptly to sanitation-related issues during and after cleaning shifts, troubleshooting problems to maintain readiness for production.
  • Maintain accurate sanitation records, including checklists, logs, corrective actions, and audit documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, reinforcing PPE use, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe chemical handling throughout sanitation operations.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Operations Team.
What You’ll Need
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1 or more years of previous supervisory experience with leadership skills of 20+ employees preferred. Poultry, food, or manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
  • Skills: Effective communication both orally and in writing, capable of independent decision making, must have basic computer knowledge, strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and intermediate to advanced skills in Word and Excel preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
