Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to lead the frontline sanitation team in our Texas plant. You will ensure all sanitation, food safety, and regulatory standards are met while supporting efficient plant operations on the production floor during sanitation shifts.

You will oversee cleaning processes, monitor chemical usage, and verify compliance with USDA and OSHA standards. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for daily readiness and high-quality production.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required; College degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience leading 20+ employees preferred.
  • Poultry/food/manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee sanitation activities to meet company, USDA and regulatory standards.
  • Lead, train, and schedule sanitation team to ensure proper cleaning procedures and safety.
  • Conduct pre-op and post-op inspections to verify sanitation effectiveness for audits.
  • Monitor chemical usage, cleaning methods, and equipment performance.
  • Address sanitation-related issues promptly to support production.
  • Maintain sanitation records including checklists, logs and audit docs.
  • Ensure safety regulations, PPE use, and safe chemical handling throughout operations.
  • Take on additional responsibilities to support the Operations Team.

The role also requires strong attention to detail and the ability to address issues in real time—ensuring the environment is safe, clean, and ready to support high-quality production each day.

WhatYou’llNeed
  • Education:High School Diploma/GED; College Degree in related field preferred.
  • Experience:1 or more years ofprevioussupervisory experience with leadership skills of 20+ employees preferred. Poultry,food, or manufacturingindustry experience is a plus.
  • Skills:Effective communication both orally and in writing, capable of independent decision making, must have basic computer knowledge,strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail,ability to manage multiple priorities, and intermediate to advanced skills in Word and Excel preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
