Job summary

GDI, Inc. in Elk Grove Village, IL, is seeking a Site Sanitation Supervisor to lead the sanitation team at a client facility. You will ensure that the sanitation of the facility is 100% and that your team is trained and supported through best sanitation practices.

You will interface with the client, plan daily tasks, develop SOPs and MSS, and manage payroll and records. Weekend and shift flexibility may be required to meet customer needs, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• USDA experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Office and general computer competency.
• Ability to work independently under strict time constraints.
• Ability to work weekends and different shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customer, plan daily tasks, generate reports and assist audits.
• Assign shifts and areas to ensure orderly operations.
• Maintain project lists and provide on‑the‑job training.
• Maintain required records and payroll reports.
• Supervise sanitation employees for Night shift 4–5 days per week.
• Ensure highest sanitation, safety and quality for products.
• Develop SOPs and Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
• Attend meetings impacting sanitation planning and effectiveness.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

As our Site Sanitation Supervisor, you will provide complete management of the sanitation functions for the client facility. You will ensure that the sanitation of the facility is, without question, 100% and that your team will be the best trained/supported through utilization of best possible sanitation practices.

You Will:

• Interface with valued customer, meeting their daily requests and project planning, creating and dispersing required reports, and participating in plant audits
• Designate shift and area work assignments ensuring work is carried out in a proper and orderly manner
• Develop and maintain project lists for the project crew
• Ability to provide on-the-job training
• Maintain all Pertinent Records, Reports and paperwork as needed
• Handle payroll including payroll reports
• Administrating, supervising, and coordinating sanitation employees for Night shift-4 to 5 days per week
• Ensuring the highest level of sanitation, safety, and quality for the products produced
• Monitors and evaluates plant sanitation practices, processes and methods
• Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule)
• Attends meetings that have an impact on sanitation planning and effectiveness
• Supports and implements processes and system improvements to continually provide the lowest cost, highest quality and on-time delivery initiatives, while maintaining optimum sanitary conditions Develops and recommends continually facility and equipment improvements and cleaning procedures

ABOUT YOU:

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a PLUS
• USDA experience PLUS
• Microsoft Office and general computer competency
• Ability to work independently and work effectively under strict time constraints
• Ability to work weekends and different shifts from time to time based on customer needs.
