Horizon Recuperative Care - San Gabriel Valley is seeking a reliable Sanitation Specialist/Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at our El Monte facility. The role involves routine cleaning, sanitizing bathrooms, waste disposal, and helping prepare spaces for events, with a focus on health standards and resident comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous janitorial/custodian experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in resident rooms, common areas, hallways, and other facility spaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and replenish supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Maintain cleanliness of windows, mirrors, and other surfaces.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or repairs needed.
• Follow cleaning procedures to meet health and safety standards.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning up for events and activities as needed.
