Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood in Illinois is seeking a dedicated janitorial associate responsible for general cleaning, sanitation and janitorial tasks across the facility, including warehouse and production areas.

You will follow Food Safety policies, operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed, and work with supervision to maintain a safe, clean environment.

This full-time role requires 18+, ability to read instructions, and attention to detail to protect product quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• One year of sanitation/maintenance experience required.
• Must be 18 years of age and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize machinery, support equipment, and conveyors.
• Clean floors, walls, and work areas in production and warehouse.
• Perform general warehouse maintenance: mop, sweep, and trash disposal.
• Adhere to Food Safety, Sanitation and Safety policies (SQF awareness).
• Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and report unsafe issues to supervisor.
• Follow attendance and company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
