Job summary

West Madison Foods, located in Thornton, IL, seeks a Sanitation Associate to maintain product quality and food safety. You will operate cleaning and packaging line equipment, perform minor equipment adjustments, and ensure a safe, efficient production environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and GMP knowledge. Food plant experience is preferred, with a 3rd shift from 10 pm to 6 am. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to communicate accurately and clearly both orally and in writing.
• Excellent observation and auditing skills; good understanding of GMP.
• Food plant experience preferred; GMP and chemical handling knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Clean belts, conveyors, palletizers, etc. in packaging areas.
• Maintain white perimeter lines by mopping, sweeping, and repainting as necessary.
• Keep floors clean and free of oil or residue in process and packaging areas.
• Ensure overhead areas are clean and free of dust, product, cobwebs, etc.
