Job summary

Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. seeks a Production Janitor for Line 4 on 2nd shift to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the Carthage facility. You will participate in line cleaning, waste removal, and line contamination readiness.

Responsibilities include scraping spills, moving barrels, tracking waste weights, and operating a pallet jack. You must wear PPE and follow GMP/SOP/HACCP/SQF guidelines, with temperatures ranging from 50 to 80 degrees depending on area.

Qualifications

• Prefer High School Diploma or GED.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Palletjack Certification.

Responsibilities

• When product falls on floor, uses a squeegee to scrap up scrap.
• Responsible for shoveling scrap into barrels.
• Need to remove barrels from the area when half to ¾ full, by loading barrels onto a skid.
• Tracking and recording of accurate waste weights.
• Use a palletjack to move skid with barrels to slop area for sanitation to empty.
• Take out trash carts full of empty boxes, plastic or other items and put into appropriate disposable containers.
• If not already trained, you will need to be willing to be trained on how to use and mix the different chemicals to clean a line for contamination or changeovers
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Temperatures throughout plant average 50 degrees. Temperatures in the cooking area can exceed 80 degrees. Required to wear hairnet, smock, boots or overshoes, ear plugs, gloves, plastic sleeves, and aprons provided by the Company. Need to comply with Food Safety: GMP’s SSOP, SOP, HACCP, SQF and Quality requirements
