Job summary

JBS Foods in Marshalltown, IA seeks a Sanitation Safety Supervisor to oversee Safety & Health staff on the 3rd shift and ensure compliant, efficient operations. You will train staff, promote a culture of safety, and work closely with production supervisors to maintain plant safety standards.

The role requires organizational leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to health and safety programs. This is a full-time exempt position based in Marshalltown with variable shift hours.

Qualifications

Job Title: Sanitation Safety Supervisor

Reports To: Safety Manager - Joe Healey

Salaried Grade: Type of Position: Hours: 3 rd Shift Hours Vary

Exempt Full-time Flexible as needed

General Description:

Supervise, evaluate and direct Safety & Health personnel on TBD shift in performing operations according to sound operating principles and company policies and procedures. Stimulate maximum safety, efficiency and ensure proper training of staff. Apply company employee relations and union contract policies in all dealing with employees. Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are Safe. Work closely with other production supervisors and management to promote safety, efficiency and teamwork in each department and in plant facility. Attend meetings as scheduled or called. Perform various other duties as needed or as assigned.
