Stratas Foods is hiring a Sanitation Porter in Cordova, TN to keep production areas clean and safe. The role emphasizes GMP compliance, sanitation of floors and loading docks, and proper waste removal to support the plant's food safety culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Keep production areas clean and orderly to maintain safety and GMP compliance.
• Clean and sanitize production floors according to cleaning schedules.
• Remove trash and food waste from designated areas and dispose properly.
• Sweep, mop, scrub floors; operate floor-cleaning equipment as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of loading docks and entryways.

• Follow proper chemical handling procedures and maintain chemical usage logs.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs and company safety policies.
• Report maintenance issues or unsafe conditions to management immediately.

The Sanitation Porter will be responsible for keeping working areas in the production department in a clean and orderly condition. This operation is to be performed to keep safety as a primary objective and following established GMP, Safety, Regulatory and Stratas Foods procedures and policies.

• Responsible for supporting the plant's food safety culture and complying with all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements applicable to the position.
• Clean and sanitize production floors in accordance with facility cleaning schedules.
• Remove trash and food waste from designated areas; ensure waste is disposed of properly.
• Sweep, mop, scrub floors; operate floor-cleaning equipment as required.
• Maintain cleanliness of loading docks and entryways.
• Assist with cleaning production areas needed.
• Follow proper chemical handling procedures and maintain accurate chemical usage logs.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs and all company safety policies.

• 1+ year of experience in janitorial, sanitation, or facility maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment.

• Ability to read and follow safety instructions and cleaning schedules.

Physical: Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, and work with heights
