SANITATION/PORTER (Finance)

Maintain safe and sanitary conditions throughout the store in adherence to company standards and health department regulations. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining the exterior front entrance and sidewalk conditions, practicing safe food handling procedures, and providing excellent customer service. Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to read a technical manual, retain, and comprehend information.
• Ability to perform basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Reading/writing skills to complete forms.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to utilize safety awareness and practices.
• Good customer service skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous related work experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing excellent customer service and effective communication with store associates.
• Practicing safe food handling procedures.
• Utilizing and operating equipment to clean and maintain floor conditions throughout the store.
• Cleaning public restrooms, filling towel, tissue, and soap dispensers, and disposing of trash.
• Cleaning walls, vents, ceilings, exterminating rodents and insects, and maintaining refrigerated cases.
• Moving equipment and displays to facilitate cleaning.
• Replacing light bulbs and fluorescent tubes.
• Maintaining cleaning and sanitation supplies.
• Shampooing and vacuuming mats and rugs, and following safety procedures.
• Mixing cleansers and sanitizers properly.
• Spreading ice melt and shoveling snow from entrances and sidewalks.
• Performing minor maintenance on equipment.
• Working cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments.
• Managing conflict in a nonconfrontational manner.
• Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Following directions and seeking assistance when needed.
• Supporting and assisting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Performing all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
