Job summary

Foster Farms in Washington state is seeking a sanitation team member to keep the facility clean, follow safety rules, and support production by preparing areas for operations. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour with shift premiums and longevity/attendance bonuses, plus a robust benefits package including health insurance and 401(k).

Qualifications include lifting up to 80 pounds, standing for long periods, attending on-time, and passing a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Sanitation is responsible for cleaning the facility (inside and out) on a nightly basis.
• Perform assigned tasks and follow instructions from supervision and/or lead personnel with safe chemical use and high-pressure hot water to clean equipment.
• Sanitize plant areas so they are ready for Production under USDA standards.
• Keep non-production areas clean and orderly (breakrooms, bathrooms, parking lot, etc).
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision and/or lead personnel.
• Make suggestions on process improvements.

Pay rate starts at $19.00 per hour with shift premiums of $0.50 for hours worked 4pm-midnight and $1.00 for hours worked midnight-8am.

Longevity premium of $0.25 after one year of service. Attendance Premium of $0.25.

Essential Job Functions:

• Sanitation is responsible for cleaning the facility (inside and out) on a nightly basis. As such adherence to company safety and attendance policies is critical.
• Perform assigned tasks and follow instructions from Supervision and/or Lead personnel including Safe application of chemicals and high pressure hot (140 F) water to clean and sanitize processing equipment.
• Sanitize assigned plant area(s) on time and in accordance with Pre-Operations inspection by Quality Control and USDA standards in assigned area(s), so they are ready for release for Production.
• Keep the non-production areas clean and orderly including breakrooms, bathrooms, smoking areas, parking lot, and all other areas that is deemed necessary by Supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision and/or Lead personnel.
• Make suggestions on how we can improve our process.

Qualifications

• Must report regularly and on time to workas well as workall required hours, including overtime and weekends as scheduled.
• Work safely and set an example of good working safe habits.
• Ability to obtain pallet jack certificate.
• Ability to operate pallet jack in safe manner.
• Physically capable to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
• Repetitive pushing, pulling, and lifting between 10 -80 lbs.
• Ability to stand on concrete floor or metal standfor prolonged periods.
• Must be able to submit and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
