Job summary

Heartland Food Products Group, based in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Sanitation Operator to ensure clean and safe production areas. You will oversee sanitization of machinery and the facility to meet MSS schedules and safety standards.

Responsibilities include detailed sanitization, equipment breakdown and reassembly, and maintaining sanitation supplies while complying with OSHA and quality control procedures. This role requires English literacy and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

• Oversee proper machinery break down, wash, sanitize, and machinery put together
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of floor scrubber, steam cleaner, and sanitation supplies
• Performs according to OSHA and Heartland Sweetener Quality Control program safety procedures
• Performs related duties as required
• All other duties as assigned

Scope:

The Sanitation Operator will perform and oversee a variety of facility and equipment sanitizations. Work requires independent initiative, knowledge of good manufacturing practices, and experience in working with cleaning chemicals. They will establish proficiency in one of the four production departments with cleaning skills in accordance with daily MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule) and display proficiencies relating to Standard Operating Procedures in assigned department. They will ensure that safety, quality, production and cost KPI’s are achieved.

Physical Demands:
