Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Nampa, ID, is hiring a Sanitation Operator I to clean and sanitize production equipment and maintain food safety standards. You will operate sanitation processes, handle chemicals safely, and support audit readiness in a fast-paced dairy production environment.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to stand all shift, and willingness to collaborate with a production team to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb.
• Stand for entire shift with bending/reaching.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble production equipment per food safety standards.
• Safely handle sanitation chemicals and verify cleaning effectiveness.
• Shred cheese using shredder machinery and monitor performance.
• Follow SOPs for reworking/recorking cheese and ensure compliance.
• Maintain records of production activities and quality issues.
• Collaborate with team to optimize production efficiency.
• Participate in internal/external audits and ISO/HACCP compliance.
