Job summary

Wis-Pak in Hattiesburg, MS is hiring for a Sanitation Operator on the 2nd shift (3:00pm-1:00am, 7 days a week available). The role focuses on sanitizing production lines, maintaining a clean and safe production area, and supporting overall plant operations to ensure product quality.

You will use approved cleaning chemicals, operate CIP and water systems, and assist with machine maintenance and line readiness.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing, food production, or high-speed packaging preferred.
• Able to use cleaning chemicals and learn CIP processes.
• Good communication and ability to follow procedures.
• Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
• Stand/walk for 12 hours and lift/push/pull up to 60 lbs regularly.
• Able to work in warm environments (80°F+).
• Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis; no visa sponsorship.
• Read, write, speak and comprehend English at a level necessary for duties.

Responsibilities

• Sanitizing production lines and equipment using approved chemicals and tools.
• Disassembling and reassembling machine parts for deep cleaning.
• Operating CIP systems and water systems.
• Keeping work areas clean and organized, including floors and common spaces.
• Monitoring machines during start-up for proper fill heights, seaming, and product quality.
• Removing defective product and keeping line supplied with lids.
• Reporting equipment issues and completing required documentation.
• Supporting production, including operating machines or driving forklifts.
• Following all safety, GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety guidelines.
