HOURS: Generally, starts as early as 1:45 PM until finish. Starting times and hours may vary depending on coverage due to report-offs and the production schedule especially during holidays. Good attendance and punctuality required.
Working role that coordinates and assists the Manager in the Food Safety Quality (FSQ) department. Performs and completes tasks associated with equipment cleaners. Manages the plant documentation systems, including quality system documents and serves as a SQF practitioner. Supports internal audits, inspections, microbiological testing, and corrective/preventive actions. Investigates nonconforming product incidents and consumer complaints, conducts root cause analysis, and leads corrective actions. Supervises sanitation activities of equipment and facility.
Lead FSQ department employees, including covering for vacations and days off, in accordance with policies and laws.
Require analytical skills, computer proficiency (SAP, Word, Excel), delegation, communication, mathematical skills, multi-tasking, planning, reasoning, safety awareness, and written communication skills.
Preferred: Associate degree and two years related experience, microbiology experience preferred.
Preferred: SQF or AIB certification, Six Sigma training, pest control knowledge.
Must be able to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work near moving machinery. Work environment includes exposure to chemicals, noise, temperature extremes, and wet conditions. Overtime may be required.
This position requires passing a physical and licensing. Vacation and employment duration are subject to company policies. A 90-day performance review applies, with a one-year minimum employment requirement.
