Job summary

Butterball is seeking a Sanitation Team Lead to support the Sanitation Supervisor in guiding the team on cleaning production equipment, machinery and work areas in our food manufacturing facility. You will handle and prepare cleaning chemicals, maintain chemical concentrations, and store chemicals according to safety standards.

This role requires leadership to ensure daily sanitation of processing lines, training of sanitation workers, and adherence to GMP, HACCP, FDA and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a team setting.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Familiar with HACCP, FDA and OSHA requirements as needed.
• Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to sanitation team to execute cleaning and sanitizing.
• Troubleshoot sanitation problems; recommend improvements to policies and processes.
• Ensure sanitation oversight and resources; implement chemical/sanitation safety programs.
• Train sanitation workers and develop their skills.
• Report major issues to senior management.
• Perform daily sanitation of all processing lines.
• Promote a safe work environment and compliance with sanitation programs.
• Coordinate all daily sanitation activities within the plant.
• Follow GMP and HACCP procedures related to cleanliness and product safety.
• Manage and report need for cleaning chemicals and storage in compliance with OSHA and plant regs.
• Assist operations to maintain audit readiness and pass inspections.
• Support all Food Safety initiatives.
