Job summary

Butterball is seeking a Sanitation Worker to train in cleaning and sanitizing equipment and facility areas. You will follow strict cleaning protocols, handle cleaning chemicals safely, document procedures, and help ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Entry level does not require previous experience in a Sanitation role.
• Familiar with HACCP, FDA and OSHA requirements as needed.

Responsibilities

• Use approved chemicals and methods to clean and sanitize equipment, production areas, and floors.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning.
• Coordinate all daily sanitation activities within the plant.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of chemicals and PPE.
• Adhere strictly to established sanitation programs and GMP/HACCP procedures related to cleanliness and product safety.
• Ensure product safety and product defense in the plant.
• Conduct visual inspections and use testing methods to ensure surfaces are clean.
• Manage and maintain supply of cleaning chemicals for sanitation program compliance with OSHA and plant regulations.
• Assist operations to maintain high audits and inspections.
• Support all food safety initiatives.
