Job summary

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Sanitation Lead for our Broadway facility in Hanover, PA. The role entails cleaning and sanitizing production equipment, packaging areas, and facilities, while leading a sanitation team and ensuring GMP and safety standards are followed.

Responsibilities include coordinating major cleanups, training team members, operating sanitation equipment, and maintaining a safe, efficient workflow across the campus.

Qualifications

• Experience in sanitation, manufacturing or food production preferred.
• Ability to lead and train team members in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication with leadership and staff.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and campuses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily sanitation operations and hygiene practices.
• Coordinate major cycle-ending cleanups with Sanitation and Plant Leadership.
• Support training, education, and safety of Sanitation team members.
• Serve as a Sanitation SME within the production facility after approvals.
• Participate in packaging, processing, and cleanup activities.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, rooms, and areas across facilities.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety practices.
• Handle and dispense cleaning chemicals per procedures.
• Operate forklifts, high-reach equipment, can washers, and sanitation tools after training.
• Use high-pressure rinses, air wands, chemicals, and other sanitation equipment.
• Dispose waste and return equipment to designated locations.
• Follow work instructions and sanitation checklists.
• Collaborate with Production and Sanitation Leadership on safety and cleanliness.
