Job summary

River Point Farms is seeking an experienced Sanitation Lead to join our onion processing team. The role provides day-to-day leadership for sanitation operations, coordinating work assignments and supporting training and performance of the sanitation crew.

You will serve as the primary link between Sanitation, Production, Maintenance, and Food Safety, ensuring tasks are completed safely, on schedule, and properly documented.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of food-plant sanitation experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation programs and safe chemical handling.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate across all levels.
• Ability to complete and review sanitation documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily sanitation activities to keep areas and equipment clean and ready for operations.
• Assign work, communicate priorities, and give clear instructions to sanitation team members.
• Monitor work to ensure compliance with food safety programs and safety requirements.
• Train and support sanitation team members; reinforce procedures and PPE usage.
• Verify completion of sanitation tasks and review documentation for accuracy.
• Serve as the first point of contact for sanitation issues.
• Coordinate with maintenance on equipment issues and unsafe conditions.
• Enforce company policies and customer requirements; model a strong safety culture.
• Support sanitation audits and corrective actions.
• Provide input on employee performance to supervision.
• Perform hands-on sanitation work as needed.
