Job summary

Cargill in Nebraska City, NE is hiring a sanitation lead for the 2nd shift (5:30 PM – 2:00 AM) in a high-speed protein and salt production setting. You will oversee sanitation activities, ensure safety procedures, and manage paperwork while maintaining clean, compliant facilities.

The role requires experience in wet, cold environments, extensive PPE, and coordination with the sanitation team to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• 1 year experience in wet, cold environments with extensive PPE
• 1 year experience performing labor-intensive sanitation with specialized equipment
• Experience following sanitation schedules, safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures
• Experience completing sanitation/production documentation accurately

Responsibilities

• Lead sanitation activities and guide team members in day-to-day operations
• Perform sanitation and housekeeping using specialized equipment per schedules and safety rules
• Maintain sanitary conditions and verify compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines
• Conduct basic facility tasks (shoveling, salting, painting) and order supplies
• Ensure completion of inspections for sanitation equipment and proper chemical handling
• Prepare and maintain sanitation paperwork accurately and on time
• Address storage, handling, and usage of cleaning chemicals with appropriate PPE
• Perform detailed sanitation tasks including scrubbing, power washing, sanitizing, and equipment disassembly
• Take on additional sanitation or facilities-related duties as assigned
