• Other duties as assigned (night shifts when Triangle is not cleaned).
• Maintain safety and quality of food production; report issues to supervisor or QA.

Job Details

Job Location: Plant 2 Union Ave - Sheboygan, WI 53081, Job Shift: 3rd, Position Summary: The duties of a Sanitation I employee are to disassemble, clean, sanitize, reassemble and test-run all elements of the line seven scaling and feeding system prior to the first shift start up.

Responsibilities/Duties

Other duties may be assigned. Minimum expectations include but are not limited to:

• Disassembly of the Triangle system.
• Cleaning of the Triangle scale system.
• Reassembly of the Triangle system.
• Cleaning of the “steep” conveyor.
• Cleaning of the Urschel slicer.
• Cleaning of the “Z” conveyor.
• Other duties as assigned (to be done on nights when the Triangle system does not have to be cleaned).
• Take responsibility in your work area to produce a safe and quality food product. Report all food safety and quality related problems to your supervisor, manager, or to the QA department to initiate immediate action.

Qualifications

• Required education is a high school diploma or equivalent GED; 1 to 3 months related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Receive the SSOP certification.
• Qualified to use a scissor lift (training provided by OWS).
• Qualified to use sanitation chemicals (training provided by OWS).
• Qualified to operate the Triangle system (clean out, set up and test run-training provided by OWS).
• The ability to print and speak simple sentences. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one or small group situations to other employees of the organization.
• Able to perform mathematic operations using any or all units of weight measurement, volume, distance, and American money.
• Apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.
