Job summary

The City of Clemson is seeking a Maintenance Worker II in the Sanitation department. Responsibilities include operating a variety of medium and heavy trucks, loading and hauling refuse to the landfill, and performing routine equipment maintenance under supervision.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED with two years' experience operating medium/heavy trucks and equipment.
• Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license and CDL, or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Operates and loads garbage trucks, delivering refuse to the landfill.
• Drives trucks of various sizes and weights for loading, hauling, and unloading materials.
• Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on equipment and reports defects.
• Maintains service area records and addresses for billing.
• Provides on-call duty coverage as per duty roster.
