Baldor Specialty Foods, Inc. in Philadelphia is seeking an entry-level Sanitor I to support facility cleanliness and sanitation standards across warehouse and operational areas.

This role helps maintain food safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance by performing cleaning and sanitation duties per company procedures and safety guidelines. You will follow established sanitation schedules, work with operations, quality, and warehouse teams, and maintain sanitation logs and required

Qualifications

• Prior sanitation, warehouse, janitorial, or food production experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, floors, walls, racks, docks, and operational work areas.
• Follow established sanitation schedules, SOPs, SSOPs, and food safety requirements.
• Safely handle, mix, and prepare cleaning chemicals according to company procedures and safety standards.
• Operate approved sanitation equipment including scrubbers, power washers, hoses, vacuums, and cleaning tools.
• Maintain sanitation logs, cleaning checklists, and required documentation accurately and timely.
• Remove trash, debris, spills, and other waste materials to maintain a clean and organized facility.
• Support compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, and regulatory sanitation requirements.
• Inspect work areas to identify sanitation concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards and communicate findings to leadership.
• Ensure cleaning tools, equipment, and sanitation supplies are properly stored and maintained.
• Utilize required PPE and follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines.
• Assist with facility preparation for audits, inspections, and operational readiness.
• Work collaboratively with operations, quality, and warehouse teams to maintain sanitation and safety standards.
• Perform additional sanitation and operational duties as assigned.
