Job summary

Schwan's is seeking a full-time sanitation associate in Ohio to clean and sanitize equipment and the production area using steam and high-pressure hoses. You will disassemble/reassemble equipment and follow sanitation schedules to document routine cleaning.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with 0–1 year of related experience and an understanding of safety standards and GMPs. OT may be required, and a positive team attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0–1 year of related experience in sanitation or a similar industrial environment.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and compliance with safety standards (OSHA, local, state, and federal) and GMPs.
• Ability to follow regulatory, customer, and company sanitation policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses to safely clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and facilities per procedures.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as directed.
• Follow sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line.
• Use and document chemical concentrations and applications as specified.
• Verify and document correct chemicals/concentrations and complete cleaning and sanitizing to ensure pass of micro indicator tests.

What You Will Do:

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses while safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures.
• Disassembling and reassembling equipment as directed.
• Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line.
• Using and documenting chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications.
• Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator tests.

What You Will Bring:

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0--1 year of related experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and compliance with safety standards (OSHA, local, state, and federal) and GMPs.
• Ability to follow regulatory, customer, and company sanitation policies and procedures.
• Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including hot/cold and wet/dry areas.
• Flexible availability to work full-time, overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as required.
