Job summary

ADUSA Distribution seeks a dedicated sanitation supervisor to lead the full-time sanitation crew at our Mauldin, SC facility. You will oversee daily sanitation tasks, ensure safety, and maintain cleanliness standards across a busy distribution center.

The role requires timely paperwork, interviewing and hiring support, and ongoing training of associates. You will collaborate with supervision to maximize efficiency while meeting OSHA regulations and company standards.

Primary Purpose

Lead and facilitate full time sanitation crew and participates in the sanitation of the distribution facility.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Act for department supervisor in his/her absence
• Help to plan, organize, delegate and follow-up with associate's job duties to be completed
• Complete required paperwork in a timely manner
• Ensure that all areas of responsibility are running in a safe, orderly, effective manner
• Assist the supervisor with interviewing and hiring new associates
• Perform own sanitation tasks while ensuring that all crew tasks are accomplished to standard
• Train other sanitation associates and or sub-contracted crew on sanitation tasks
• Ensure that the crew understands and follows safe work practices
• Responsible for OSHA Compliance and Regulations
• Maintain sanitation supply inventory
• Provide research and advises management on equipment and supply purchases
• Perform minor maintenance and adjustments on cleaning equipment
• Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
• Ensure compliance with Delhaize America standards in the areas of accuracy, safety, and productivity

Qualifications

• Ability to meet production standards set by the company
• Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
• Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
• Able to use a personal computer for data entry and research purposesHighly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple task in a fast paced environment

Physical Requirements

• Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
• Stand for long periods of time
• Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks)

Preferred Requirements

• High School Education
• Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable
• Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment preferred
• Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills
• Demonstrate effective and successful leadership skills
