Job summary

ADUSA Distribution is seeking a Sanitation Associate to maintain sanitation standards across the Bethlehem distribution center, ensuring a clean and safe work environment for all associates.

The role includes debris removal, floor cleaning, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety and productivity standards while supporting process improvements and responding to equipment issues as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to reach, stoop, bend and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks).
• Able to work the required schedule to perform assigned duties.

Responsibilities

• Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills promptly, dust racks, doors and lights.
• Sweep and mop slots and scrub floors as needed.
• Clean sanitation equipment, boxes and mops; maintain sanitation procedures.
• Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance and propose process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with ADUSA Distribution standards for accuracy, safety and productivity.

Primary Purpose

As a Sanitation Associate, it will be your job to maintain all sanitation standards established by the Distribution Center in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment for all associates.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills in a prompt manner, dust racks, doors, lights, etc.
• Sweep and mop slots.
• Clean sanitation equipment, including sanitation boxes and mops.
• Sweep and scrub floors, as well as outside areas to help ensure the safety, proper sanitation and efficiency of the distribution center.
• Maintain equipment daily, topping off fluids, cleaning out brushes and washing equipment.
• Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris.
• Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance.
• Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with ADUSA Distribution standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.

Preferred Requirements

• High School Education.
• Certification on powered industrial equipment where applicable (will train associates).
• Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment.

• Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
