Job summary

Quirch Foods in Houston, TX is seeking a reliable janitorial associate to maintain clean facilities in a refrigerated warehouse environment.

You will perform cleaning duties, follow safety rules, and support operations by keeping restrooms sanitary, trash removed, and areas safe for staff. Experience in hazardous materials handling and working in cold environments is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean equipment, work area, and surrounding warehouse areas.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners to protect floors and fixtures.
• Perform janitorial tasks: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms.
• Remove trash from office spaces and surrounding areas.
• Maintain restrooms sanitary and report issues to supervision.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain food safety standards.
• Develop positive working relationships with co-workers.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Clean equipment, work area, paint mixing area, and other areas around the warehouse

Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures

Janitorial duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and general clean-up of outside areas around the office.

Removal of trash from all office spaces and surrounding areas.

Work safely in accordance with company safety rules and procedures at all times including keeping your work area clean and orderly

Maintain food safety standards

Respond to emergency situations as required

Report any warehouse issues to supervisor or managerial staff

Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with co-workers

Responsible for maintaining all restrooms sanitary

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications And Requirements

• Two years of experience in a related field preferred
• Knowledge and skill in hazardous materials handling, application, and disposal
• Knowledge of washing and cleaning in a cold warehouse environment
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.
• Physical requirements: must be able to kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, bend, etc. with comfort and ease; must also be able to move objects weighing between 20 and 50lbs
• Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environment (PPE provided)
• Ability to solve problems in independent and team setting
