Job summary

CJ Schwan's is seeking a full-time sanitation associate in Oklahoma to help keep our production lines clean and compliant with safety standards. You’ll operate high-pressure cleaning equipment, handle chemicals, and document sanitation activities to ensure equipment and facilities pass micro-tests. Starting pay is $19.50 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential for hours from 6 p.m.

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0–1 year of related experience in sanitation or a similar industrial environment.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and compliance with safety standards.
• Ability to follow sanitation policies and procedures.
• Flexible availability for full-time work, overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses to clean and sanitize equipment and facilities.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed.
• Follow sanitation schedules and document routine cleaning.
• Use and document chemical concentrations for sanitation tasks.
• Verify proper chemicals and concentrations are used and cleaning is completed.

What You Will Do

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses while safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures.
• Disassembling and reassembling equipment as directed.
• Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line.
• Using and documenting chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications.
• Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator tests.

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0--1 year of related experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and compliance with safety standards (OSHA, local, state, and federal) and GMPs.
• Ability to follow regulatory, customer, and company sanitation policies and procedures.
• Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including hot/cold and wet/dry areas.
• Flexible availability to work full-time, overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as required.
