Job summary

Pilgrim is hiring for a sanitation position in Olympia, WA. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing production areas, following mandatory safety and GMP training, and performing hands-on duties in a fast-paced environment. You will lift up to 50 pounds and work with chemicals under proper PPE.

Applicants should have prior meat processing or similar manufacturing experience and be able to stand, walk, bend, and crawl for extended periods while maintaining good attendance and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat processing preferred.
• Stand/walk/bend/crawl for extended periods.
• Work in extreme temperatures with exposure to chemicals and moving machinery.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production areas.
• Perform cleaning tasks with little supervision (scrubbing walls, floors, tables, hallways).
• Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive hand scrubbing and hose use.
• Be exposed to chemicals, machinery, knives and loud conditions.

Expected to work hands on at high speed and times to lift over 50 pounds.

Perform various cleaning and sanitation tasks with little supervision including scrubbing walls, floors, tables, hallways, etc.

Experience/Skills/Abilities:

Previous experience in a meat processing plant or similar manufacturing setting preferred.

Must be able to stand, walk, bend and/ or crawl for extended periods of time

Must be able to work in extreme temperatures with frequent exposure to moving machinery, hot water and slippery floors.

Work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive motion work in hand scrubbing and running a hose.

Must be able to work with multiple chemicals with proper training and personal protective equipment.
