Harborview Medical Center's Harborview Social Work is seeking a part-time SANE Program - Forensic Evidence Coordinator within the Harborview Abuse & Trauma Center (HATC). This in-person role is 20 hours per week, day shift, and focuses on coordinating forensic evidence during SANE exams.

The position requires handling chain-of-custody processes, managing secure storage, and preparing reports for investigations and court proceedings, with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent and two years of experience in the program specialty.
• Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow chain of custody protocols to securely handle and document forensic evidence.
• Manage secure storage of photographs and documents related to SANE exams.
• Perform routine audits of evidence storage areas for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare reports for investigators, attorneys, and court proceedings.
• Testify in court regarding collection and handling of forensic evidence.
• Assist in training personnel in evidence handling procedures.
• Coordinate the forensic nursing program to meet timelines and deliverables.
• Maintain program records, schedules, and patient data as requested.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to expand program impact.
• Order and track supplies for SANE exams to ensure inventory control.
