Job summary

Scope-Services in Bridgman, MI is seeking a Sandblaster for an immediate opening on the day shift. You will prepare chassis and fixtures for painting using air-powered sandblasting and a variety of tools, following the production schedule and safety guidelines.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and willingness to commit to 50–60 hours per week. Prior experience in an industrial paint environment is preferred and a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in an industrial paint environment preferred.
• Must be dependable and able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform paint prep duties using air-powered sandblasting equipment, grinder, needle-guns, and other tools.
• Abrade surfaces of metal to remove scale, paint, grease, rust, and dirt.
• Inspect items for proper welds and remove weld spatter and burrs.
• Disassemble and clean sandblasting equipment after use.
• Operate related equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and hand tools.
• Read and follow job orders, blueprints and procedures.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness per Pratt standards.
