Sandblaster Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate abrasive blasting new carbon steel weldments
• Shoveling or pouring sand, grit, or other abrasive material into machine
• Monitor and maintain adequate supply of abrasive in the hopper
• Prepare surfaces by protecting specific area of the work surface using various adhesives
• Lift, carry, and set up heavy equipment and parts onto racks, into tumbling barrels or cabinets
• Prepare parts for the paint shop
• Maintenance of the sandblasting equipment: cleaning and changing nozzles
