Job summary

Trident Seafoods Corporation seeks a Resident Services Support in Alaska to assist in meal preparation and food service, while maintaining a clean environment across facilities.

The role includes cleaning kitchens, restocking beverages, and basic housekeeping duties, with additional tasks such as laundering employee clothing. Housing residents may incur a $15 daily co-pay for room and board when 8+ hours are worked.

Qualifications

• Food Handler’s card required within 30 days of employment.
• Preferred: previous experience in housekeeping or food service.
• HS Diploma or equivalent (or degree).

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean working environment.
• Cleans kitchen, kitchen equipment, and all dishes, tables, and floors.

• Cleans storage rooms, bathrooms, offices, corridors, processing areas, and stairways.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstery, draperies, and dusts furniture.
• Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, panels, and sills.

Responsibilities

Summary: The Resident Services Support team member will flex between cleaning rooms and halls throughout the facilities as well as preparing and serving buffet style meals.

Note: Dining Hall Resident Services Support residing in Trident housing will be subject to a co-pay of $15 per day for room and board, for each day that at least 8 hours of work is offered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists in meal preparation and food service as indicated on the menu or as assigned.
• Always maintains a clean working environment.
• Responsible for cleaning kitchen, kitchen equipment, and all dishes, tables, and floors.
• Restocks and cleans beverage machines and condiments on a regular basis.
• Responsible for basic housekeeping duties such as cleaning and stocking bathrooms and other common areas.
• Assists in laundering employee clothing and work attire.
• Cleans storage rooms, bathrooms, offices, corridors, processing areas, and stairways.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, and dusts furniture.
• Washes walls, ceiling, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties and cleans wastebaskets, outdoor ashtrays and transports trash and waste to disposal areas.
• Cleans and replenishes bathroom supplies and replaces light bulbs.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
• Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Food Handler’s card; required within 30 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or food service industry preferred.
• HS Diploma or equivalent (or degree, etc.)

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

The employee moves objects

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
