Bank of China USA in New York is seeking a part-time Sanctions Operations staff to support real-time transaction monitoring and KPI reporting for sanctions compliance. You will assist the VP of Sanctions Operations and work on communications to the sanctions team.

The role involves 2nd review of wire transfers, complex investigations, sanctions screenings, and maintaining detailed logs. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and about 5 years in bank compliance with BSA/AML and sanctions focus; CAMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 5 years of work experience in a bank or financial institution in a BSA/AML & SANCTIONS internal control capacity preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. Banking regulations with emphasis on BSA, AML, and OFAC.
• CAMS certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• 2nd Review real-time payment (wire transfers) to determine true matches to suspects or false matches.
• Open investigations when information is insufficient and coordinate with ordering bank daily.
• Conduct sanctions screenings for hits and maintain documentation.
• Identify sanctions issues and escalate when necessary.
• Communicate with FLUs on payments tied to entities with SARs on file.
• Conduct periodic audits of FLU transactions for sanctions compliance.
• Assist with sanctions-related examinations and responses.
• Prepare summary sheets for affiliate sampling cases and downstream return funds.
• Update and maintain a log of sanctions cases and related transactions.
• Support preparation of sanctions risk assessments and QC/monitoring reports.
