sanctions regulations and internal controls in day-to-day payments. Responsibilities include 2nd review of real-time wire transfers, conducting complex investigations, maintaining logs, and preparing KPI and sanctions reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 5 years of work experience in a bank or financial institution in a BSA/AML & SANCTIONS internal control capacity preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. Banking regulations and compliance practices with strong emphasis on all aspects of BSA, AML, and OFAC.
• CAMS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• 2nd Review real-time payment alerts and determine true vs. false matches based on payment instructions.
• Open investigations when information is insufficient and request information from ordering bank daily.
• Conduct sanctions screenings and maintain detailed documentation of findings.
• Identify sanctions compliance issues and escalate when necessary.
• Coordinate responses for internal and external sanctions examinations.
