This AVP role is within the Global Financial Crimes Division (GFCD) at MUFG Bank, Ltd., supporting the Sanctions Operations team. Responsibilities include developing governance and procedural documents, ensuring conformance to program requirements, and supporting review processes. The role reports to the Head of Sanctions Operations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop expertise in Global Sanctions policies, standards, and procedures.
  2. Enhance Sanctions Operations standards, control documents, and training materials.
  3. Collaborate with regional teams to align global and regional processes.
  4. Support Sanctions Operations activities and governance duties, including projects and ad hoc tasks.
  5. Contribute to governance forums and stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications:
  1. Over 3 years of experience in Financial Services, especially in Financial Crimes Compliance or Operations.
  2. Experience in policy drafting, review, and implementation.
  3. Understanding of technology's impact on control environments in regulated financial sectors.
  4. Proven training delivery skills.
  5. Project management experience.
  6. Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder influence skills.
  7. Interest in financial crimes compliance, including sanctions.
  8. Bachelor’s degree required; professional qualifications like ACAMS are a plus.
  9. Willingness to travel up to 10%, domestic and international.

The base salary ranges from $89k to $120k, with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits including health, retirement, and wellness programs. MUFG values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
