Job summary

Mindlance in Cupertino is seeking a Data Analyst II - Export Compliance Analyst contractor for 12 months. You will perform denied party screenings, review export and sanctions compliance for App Store submissions, and conduct vendor due diligence to identify risks.

You will document findings, escalate unusual results, and work with policies, tools, and SLAs. Proficiency with MacOS/iOS and strong communication, organization, and multitasking are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in international business, international relations, international trade, law or related field.
• 3+ years of export compliance experience.
• Experience investigating sanctions and export control risks.
• Experience using SAP GTS screening system.
• Knowledge of Export Administration Regulations and OFAC rules.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet aggressive timelines in a compliance environment.
• Self-starter and quick learner.
• Proficiency with Mac, macOS and iOS.

Responsibilities

• Perform denied party screenings for various programs within the company.
• Assist in export and sanctions compliance review of apps submitted for distribution on the App Store.
• Conduct export compliance due diligence reviews of vendors and suppliers to identify risks to the company.
• Conduct reviews and investigations to resolve potential matches from sanctions systems.
• Investigate customers, business partners, and transactions per SLAs.
• Escalate unusual findings related to sanctioned individuals or activities.
• Research using internet, third party tools, and internal databases to evaluate sanctions alerts.
• Document findings to determine necessary compliance steps and actions.
• Assist in other export and sanctions compliance tasks and projects as needed.
