What success looks like in this role:
- Support functionality and efficiency of Storage, including Storage Area Networks and Network Attached Storage;
- Deliver second and/or third level remote support services to clients to resolve product use and multi-product/platform problems relating to enterprise systems, networks, and application software;
- Serve as the L3 support expert for the L1 and L2 teams and supporting issue resolution and escalations across all the assigned client deliveries;
- Identify and automate the regular storage support routines based on client and infrastructure requirements;
- Deliver daily steady state tasks such as storage administration; and monitor, maintain, and update storage devices;
- Perform daily checks on storage devices, analyze logs, conduct performance tuning of storage arrays and devices, and ensure required backups for all possible recovery scenarios;
- Conduct incident investigations and perform troubleshooting to resolve incidents and define proactive Service improvement plans to support the delivery of technical solutions to a wide range of problems ensuring Steady State delivery teams execute and deliver continuous improvement in alignment with the defined plans;
- Execute incident management, change management, and problem management in line with ITIL standards;
- Review and approve infrastructure change requests, work on delivery of complex infrastructure change requests, and perform impact analysis before any change is approved in the ITSM tool;
- Prepare, approve, and coordinate the implementation of technical documentation and ensure that technical and customer documentation is current and complete; and
- Suggest, develop, and conduct user training, technical training, and orientation.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology; Network Administration; Computer Engineering, or a closely related field;
- Must have 7 years of experience in job offered, 7 years domain work experience related to Storage including the administration, architecting, configuration, security, failover, backup, and optimization of Storage Area Networks and Network Attached Storage systems.
- Must have 7 years of work experience with the following: Storage Area Networks and Network Attached Storage, Brocade, Cisco MDS SAN, Dell EMC Storage, Unity, PowerMax, Recover Point, Powerstore.
- Position permits remote work up to 5 days per week throughout the U.S.
