Job description
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary technical authority in securing and ensuring compliance across various Public Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
Collaborate with clients to assess their specific security and compliance needs, delivering tailored solutions.
Strategize and oversee the migration of critical data and applications to the Public Cloud, ensuring smooth transitions.
Act as a technical advocate, driving issue resolution and achieving high client satisfaction.
To support clients' development objectives, develop and maintain code/scripts, preferably in Python.
Engage in Docker and Kubernetes environments, assisting clients with containerization and orchestration processes.
Configure, implement and manage Security Operating Platforms, tailoring solutions to meet security requirements.
Requirements
Active Secret Security Clearance (mandatory).
Willingness to work on-site 5 days a week in San Antonio, TX.
Solid experience in IT/operations engineering, consulting, or related roles with a strong background in Information or Cyber Security.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Prisma Cloud, demonstrating expertise in cloud security.
Proficiency in Python scripting (highly preferred).
At least 3 years of experience implementing and managing security solutions in large-scale environments.
Strong understanding of vulnerability management and compliance standards.
Familiarity with API-based security and compliance standards.
Knowledge of cloud networking, network security, and virtualization.
Additional programming languages such as NodeJS or Ruby (a plus).
Understanding of exploits, malware, ransomware, and defensive strategies.
Experience with automation/orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub).
Preferred Experience
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Prisma Cloud: 2+ years (highly preferred).
API configuration and management: 3+ years (highly preferred).
Cloud security expertise: 3+ years.
Kubernetes expertise: 3+ years.
Experience with other Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools (a significant plus).
Knowledge of code security practices.
Demonstrated consulting expertise with strong interpersonal and client-facing skills (highly preferred).
