Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a TEM Analysis Engineer to perform TEM analysis on semiconductor devices to understand profiles, critical dimensions, chemical composition and defect distribution. You will generate in-depth reports to guide tool status changes, process adjustments, and wafer disposal decisions essential for yield, TAT, and cost reduction goals.

You will operate TEM tools, collaborate with customers to interpret results and identify defect root causes, collaborate with Ops

Qualifications

• BS or higher degree in a closely related discipline is required.
• Hands-on experience with structure analysis tools is required.
• Knowledge of semiconductor processes and device physics is essential.
• Ability to conduct scientific research and publish findings in papers.
• Experience with defect root cause analysis and failure modeling is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate TEM tools to perform timely, high-quality analysis and generate reports.
• Collaborate with customers to interpret results, identify defect root causes, and plan validation.
• Work with Ops on TEM sample quality improvement and develop sample prep best practices.
• Lead projects to improve analytical work in terms of quality, turnaround time, and cost.
