Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Process Engineer to monitor wafer fabrication, qualify new tools, and drive process improvements. You will analyze data, identify trends, and implement adjustments to keep production in spec.

The role requires a strong engineering background and experience with Python or VBA, Spotfire/JMP/MATLAB, and Lean/6S principles. The position is full-time, on-site in Austin, with a comprehensive benefits package and potential incentives based on performance.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science.
• Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Experience scripting in Python, VBA, or equivalent language.
• Understanding of statistical methods.
• Change Point Management.
• Understanding of Lean, TPS, or 5S principles.
• Structure Problem Solving (8D, 7-step, etc.).

Skills and Qualifications

Able to work in tight fitting, FAB environment

Albe to sit at a computer terminal, uses a computer for extended periods of time

Vision – May be exposed to yellow lights, blinking lights

Potential to work with materials which contain hazardous chemicals

Support and/or work shift duties in a 24x7 manufacturing environment

The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000.00 - $120,000.00 Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
