Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Construction Management Engineer to support planning, coordination and execution of instrumentation, controls and network infrastructure construction projects on-site in Austin, TX.

You will review drawings, manage RFIs and submittals, coordinate with contractors and cross-functional teams, track schedule, cost, quality and safety, and support commissioning and project turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or related).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience supporting large commercial construction projects (semiconductor, Datacenter experience is a plus).
• Experience coordinating engineering construction, contractors and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, Submittals, field issue resolution.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced construction environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management tools and ability to create JIRA trackers.
• Preferred qualifications: Instrumentation & Controls systems, Industrial networking or low voltage infrastructure; commissioning and startup experience; semiconductor manufacturing facilities knowledge.

Position Summary

The Construction Management Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects for Instrumentation & Controls and Network infrastructure systems. This role works closely with engineering, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with design and quality requirements, while supporting commissioning and successful facility turnover.

• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and develop standardized workflow to improve project execution.

The current base salary range for this role is between $95,000 - $120,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
