Kaleen Rugs, Inc. in Dalton, GA is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our Rug/Sample Warehouse team. You will load, unload, sort, label, and transport products, using scanning tools and material handling equipment, while following safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Use scanning equipment to update inventory per system.
• Drive van between locations as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by Warehouse Management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for loading, sorting, staging, and transporting products into and out of Rug/Sample Warehouse while following safety policies and procedures. Duties may include any of the following:

• Work cooperatively and productively with other Team Members in order to complete tasks under little supervision
• Unload product while correctly labeling and stacking product on skid and shrink-wrapping to be properly secure
• Load trucks according to cubic weight, size and characteristics
• Maintain condition of Warehouse work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.)
• Perform safety check of powered industrial vehicle prior to operation
• Locate product in warehouse using manifest or scanning system
• Use hand-held scanning equipment to add or subtract product from inventory
• Record quantity of product actually loaded on manifest system.
• Ensure accuracy of load by verifying quantity with computer inquiry screens or other paperwork.
• Transport product from production/receiving area using powered industrial vehicle.
• Drive Van between locations.
• Any other additional duties assigned by Warehouse Management

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Valid Drivers License

Physical Requirements:

• Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, bending, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
• Warehouse environment can expose Team Members to temperature fluctuations (hot/cold)
• Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally
