Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Warehouse Associate to join our team. The role involves receiving, loading/unloading material, pulling/assembling customer orders, inventory checks, and daily use of forklift equipment.
Expected base pay rates: $30,929 – $38,688 per year at the commencement of employment. Final base pay may vary by location and other job‑related factors.
Primary Objective
- Perform a variety of material handling duties in the warehouse.
Primary Function and Scope
- Execute warehouse duties such as pulling and assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy, inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays (tools, caulk, etc.), moving, storing, and replenishing material, and conducting daily cycle counts.
- Perform receiving duties including unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments and stock material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
- Operate forklift equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc.
- Assist customers and prepare sales slips as needed.
- Observe all safety rules outlined in the Safety Program and report all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to management.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Experience and Knowledge Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Certified forklift operator.
- 3+ years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
Competencies
- Basic math skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, fluency in English, attention to detail, and safety consciousness.
Physical Job Requirements
- Regular standing, use of hands, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Ability to sit, climb, balance, talk, and hear. Vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
