Job summary

Tarkett Sports in Michigan is seeking a Samples Coordinator to manage the Indoor department’s samples, fulfill requests promptly, and maintain accurate inventory for 60/90 day planning.

You will communicate with customers and Regional Sales Managers by phone and email, place vendor sample orders in the ERP system, track freight costs, support product launches and tradeshow logistics, and keep the samples area organized and compliant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or related experience.
• Experience with ERP systems and inventory management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Update Inside Sales Manager with monthly reporting and forecasting.
• Manage samples department budget.
• Keep the samples room clean and organized and ensure all samples are labeled correctly.
• Coordinate shipment of marketing tools and samples.
• Receipt and processing of marketing tools and samples.
• Track tradeshow dates by region/RSM and coordinate needs for each show.

Job description

The primary purpose of this position is to manage the Indoor department’s samples, filling samples requests, managing inventory levels, and forecasting samples usage.

SUMMARY - GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Responsible for the day-to-day operations including but not limited to the following:

• Manage and fulfill all sample requests in a timely manner.
• Communicate with customers/RSM’s via email and phone in a professional and courteous manner.
• Track samples inventory levels, project needs 60/90 days out for new Sample ordering (keep supply from depleting).
• Order samples from various vendors and process purchase orders in ERP system.
• Oversee the coordination and production of custom samples.
• Track Freight Costs per Region, supply totals to each RSM by the end of the month.
• Update Inside Sales Manager of samples needs with monthly reporting and forecasting.
• Manage samples department budget.
• Keep the samples room clean and organized, ensure all samples are labeled correctly.
• Coordinates shipment of marketing tools and samples
• Receipt and processing of marketing tools and samples.
• Track tradeshow dates by region / RSM, National Shows and coordinate needs for each show with attendees.
• Organize and ship material to tradeshows, coordinate post-show shipping back to Calhoun/RSM.
• Special project assignments in coordination with Inside Sales Team.
• Assist Product Manager with product launches and sample distribution
• Collaboration with various departments as needed. o Conduct all activities and engagements in a tactful and professional manner consistent with Tarkett Code of Ethics

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TITLE

• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and Human Resources.
• Assist in the accomplishment of Company goals.
• Helps other employee to accomplish Company goals.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by department supervisor.

EDUCATION and/ or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
