Sample Warehousing and Logistics Specialist - 3rd Shift, M-F

We are currently hiring a Sample Warehousing and Logistics Specialist to operate our Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS).

Our large environmental contract laboratory processes and stores over 60,000 samples at any given time. Our storage system uses software, computers, and robotics to streamline the handling, storage, and retrieval of samples for our laboratory technicians. Candidates will need to learn basic troubleshooting techniques to maintain system efficiency during overnight hours.

Responsibilities include:

• Pulling samples requested for analysis by employees
• Returning samples used in the lab the previous day back to the ASRS
• Processing expired samples for disposal
• Handling samples requiring extended retention for long-term storage
• Working with the ASRS and performing troubleshooting as needed

This role is on the 3rd Shift, Monday through Friday. Training will be from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Basic knowledge of machinery or mechanical moving parts
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical issues
• Basic tool usage and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively during shift hours
• Self-motivation and effectiveness under minimal supervision
• Good decision-making skills in unexpected situations

Minimum qualifications:

• Authorization to work in the United States without restrictions or sponsorship
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical background and knowledge

Proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking, is required.
