Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in a discipline relevant to the semiconductor industry such as Microelectronics Technology, Physics/Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
• 2-4 years of related work experience in the semiconductor industry, especially handling silicon wafers, processing wafers in fab tools, cleaving wafers into coupons, and identifying features of interest based on a wafer schematic.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.

Responsibilities

• Take care of sample preparation tasks before loading samples into STEM tools, including ALD coatings or other protective coatings, and identifying areas of interest from a schematic.
• Follow fixed procedures and repeat with various sample configurations.
• Perform sample intake and outgoing procedures, screen for quality, and photograph contents; identify and set aside samples not meeting submission standards.
• Assist lab assistants with shipping responsibilities.
• High-performing, tenured technicians may pursue electron microscopy within the group.
